I've been a photojournalist for twenty years with my photographs being published internationally. I documented many of the major humanitarian crises of the 1990's including Rwanda, Bosnia and Kosovo and more recently the aftermath of the Tsunami in Sri Lanka. I have previously been short listed for the Amnesty Photojournalism Award for my photo essay on refugees.

I have worked extensively on assignments for many international aid agencies including UNHCR, Oxfam, UNICEF and the International Red Cross specialising in the coverage of refugee crises in Africa, the Middle East and Asia. In the UK many leading voluntary sector organisations have commissioned me to document their socially orientated work.

In recent years I've photographed thirty educational books for UK children's publishers undertaking diverse assignments in the UK and overseas including in Jamaica, China, Egypt, Sweden, Poland, USA and Saudi Arabia. I previously founded the Exile Images photo agency which merged in 2007 with Report Digital, one of the leading UK's photo agencies.
